That the Parliament congratulates Caitlin Rainey, from Renton, on her selection to represent Team Scotland at the Commonwealth Games; understands that Caitlin is one of 11 boxers who will make their Commonwealth Games debut; further understands that five women have been selected for the squad, marking Team Scotland’s largest ever female representation in boxing at a Commonwealth Games; recognises that Caitlin has shown dedication, commitment and perseverance to reach this significant milestone in her boxing career; acknowledges the support provided by her family, coaches at Nightmare Boxing Club and Boxing Scotland, her teammates and the wider local community who she credits for helping to make her dream possible; notes the pride that her achievement brings to Caitlin, her family, the local community in Renton and across the whole of West Dunbartonshire; commends her for being an inspiration to young people to participate in sport at all levels, and wishes her every success as she competes on the international stage representing Scotland.
