As an amendment to motion S7M-00089 in the name of Jack Middleton (Support Scotland’s Energy Industry), leave out from “and move to” to end and insert "; notes with concern what it considers to be the Scottish National Party's (SNP) inconsistent and politically expedient approach to Scotland’s oil and gas sector, over a number of years; considers that the SNP previously relied heavily on North Sea revenues in its economic case for independence, before establishing an administration with the Scottish Greens, which it believes is a party committed to ending new oil and gas exploration; believes that this approach has created uncertainty for workers, businesses and communities across the North East, and further believes that Scotland’s oil and gas sector deserves clear, consistent and practical support, not political posturing."
