That the Parliament congratulates Cumbernauld-based Tryst 77 Handball Club on its great success in the current season, with both the men’s and women’s teams winning their respective leagues, following on from the women’s team winning the Celtic Cup and the men’s team finishing third in the men’s version of the same tournament; thanks the club for providing over 100 players, from ages five to over 50, with the opportunity to play the sport of handball, including running men’s and women’s reserve teams that play under the name “Cumbernauld” in the Scottish leagues; recognises that Tryst 77 has developed many former and current international handball players for both the Scottish and GB teams; wishes the club well for the remainder of the season in its quest for success in the Scottish Cup, Scottish League Cup and British Super Cup; recognises Cumbernauld as one of the centres of handball in Scotland through the activities of Tryst 77, and looks forward to the club celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2027.
