Two S3 Pupils From Kirkwall Grammar School Earn £3,000 Grant for Local Charity The Peedie Retreat

That the Parliament congratulates two S3 pupils from Kirkwall Grammar School on obtaining a grant of £3,000 for local charity The Peedie Retreat through the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI); acknowledges that Tara Thomas and Ella MacGregor made the winning presentation which successfully earned their chosen charity the grant; understands that The Peedie Retreat is an Orkney-based charity that is raising money to create a beach-side retreat for those who live with chronic illness; further understands that this grant will drive the charity’s vision closer to becoming a reality; congratulates Tara and Ella on all their hard work to secure this funding, and thanks all those involved in organising this year’s YPI competition.
