Congratulating Lorraine Wilkinson, Volunteer and Lecturer and Board Member at Fife College, on Being Appointed an Honorary MBE

That the Parliament congratulates Lorraine Wilkinson, a lecturer and board member at Fife College, as well as a dedicated volunteer, on being appointed an Honorary MBE for services to the community in Fife; appreciates and commends Lorraine’s 30 years of experience in education, and contributions and dedication to building strong relationships, understanding barriers, advocating for equality and diversity, and helping individuals and communities in all her roles as lecturer and board member at Fife College, and at charitable organisations in the local community; acknowledges Lorraine’s significant commitment in her roles as chair of the Hayfield Community Centre in Kirkcaldy and trustee of 4Arts in Dunfermline, and in her support for local groups, including the Linton Lane Centre, as well as in her role as a Sunday school teacher and organist at her local Methodist church; recognises The Herald Higher Education Community Award accolade bestowed to Lorraine in 2022; believes that the Honorary MBE is a well-deserved appointment that reflects all of Lorraine’s achievements; extends its very best wishes to Lorraine, and hopes that she enjoys the celebrations with her family.
