Celebrating the Team GB Men’s Curling Team’s Silver Medal Success at Milano Cortina 2026

That the Parliament congratulates the Team GB men’s curling team on winning the silver medal at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games; recognises the exceptional skill, determination and sportsmanship shown throughout the competition, which has captured the imagination of people across Scotland and the wider UK; acknowledges the leadership of skip Bruce Mouat in guiding the team to Olympic success; gives particular recognition to Grant Hardie, Hammy McMillan Jr and Bobby Lammie, whose strong connections to the Dumfries and Galloway region are a source of pride for communities across south west Scotland; notes the deep and historic links between the region and the sport of curling, including the internationally significant role of Ailsa Craig as the source of granite used to produce curling stones used around the world; recognises the inspiration that this achievement provides to young people and sporting communities across Scotland, and wishes the team continued success in the future.
