Congratulations to Gordon Dewar on 14 Years of Leadership at Edinburgh Airport

That the Parliament congratulates Gordon Dewar on his outstanding service as chief executive of Edinburgh Airport after the news that he will step down from his role at the airport after 14 years; recognises that during his tenure, passenger numbers increased by approximately 85%, growing from around nine million in 2012 to almost 17 million in 2025; further recognises his leadership of the airport through significant challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent recovery of Scotland’s aviation sector; acknowledges his role in strengthening international connectivity for Scotland’s capital city and supporting economic growth, tourism and jobs, and wishes Gordon well as he prepares to leave his post, thanking him for his significant contribution to Edinburgh, Scotland and the aviation sector.
