That the Parliament welcomes the award of a £3,470 grant to Drumhub, a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) based in Drumchapel, Glasgow, which works to support older and isolated people in the local community; notes that the funding will be used to deliver weekly meetings, day trips and other activities designed to reduce loneliness and promote wellbeing; recognises the vital role that volunteer-led community initiatives play in providing social connection and engagement for older people, and commends Drumhub SCIO for its commitment to improving the lives of those who might otherwise be socially isolated over the course of the six-month project.
