Bob Garmory Appointed OBE

That the Parliament congratulates Bob Garmory on being appointed an OBE in The King's New Year Honours list; notes that the award was made in recognition of Mr Garmory’s services to the community in Fife; recognises that these include the work that he has done in leading the Multibank charity, which is committed to improving lives and building a more sustainable Scotland by reducing waste, maximising resources and fostering environmental and social benefits, and notes that Mr Garmory is also a director of the Purvis Group in Lochgelly, a former chairman of the boards of Dunfermline Athletic, Carnegie College, the Fife Chamber of Commerce and the Developing Young Workforce (Fife), and champions an employability programme that Purvis and Lochgelly High School are involved in.
