That the Parliament welcomes the news that Scotmid has launched a digital micro-donation scheme in Clackmannanshire, allowing customers to donate 10p with every card, contactless or digital wallet purchase, the funds from which will support the retailer’s annual charity partner, Alzheimer Scotland; understands that the scheme is the result of a collaboration with the charity, Pennies, which specialises in micro-donations; believes that customers in all Scotmid and Semichem stores in Clackmannanshire now have the option to add the small donation at checkout, with the money going towards care, advice and community projects for people living with dementia, as well as their families, and commends everyone involved with this highly innovative and magnanimous initiative.
