That the Parliament congratulates Dr Robert Sharp on being appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for voluntary service to mountain rescue in Scotland; acknowledges that Dr Sharp has dedicated over four decades to mountain rescue and safety in Scotland and the UK, transforming practices and helping to save countless lives; commends his work as an author of book titles such as Mountain Rescue, alongside Judy Whiteside, Mountain Rescue in Scotland (The Early Years), Lomond Mountain Rescue Team, as well as many other textbooks and writings for rescue and walking organisations, and wishes Dr Sharp all the very best in his future endeavours.
