Dr Christopher Bryn Pritchard, Officer of the Order of the British Empire

That the Parliament congratulates Dr Chris Pritchard, Chair of the Scottish Mathematical Council (SMC), former Principal Teacher of Mathematics at McLaren High School in Callander, Secretary to the James Clerk Maxwell Foundation and, lately, President of the Mathematical Association, on being appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to mathematics education; acknowledges that Dr Pritchard is a prominent figure in Scottish mathematics education, known for his contributions to mathematics in schools, authorship for the SMC Journal, and leadership roles in organisations such as the Mathematical Association, and commends Dr Pritchard for his sterling endeavours in the pursuit of education in mathematics for all.
