ASN School Woodland View Triumphs at Scottish Sports Awards 2025

That the Parliament congratulates Woodland View School, which is in the Strathkelvin and Bearsden constituency and provides education for children and young people with additional support needs (ASN) across East Dunbartonshire, on being named School of the Year at the sportscotland Scottish Sports Awards 2025 held in Glasgow on 15 December; understands that Woodland View, which opened in 2023, was awarded the honour by the judging panel for its exceptionally high standard of sport and physical activities, inclusive opportunities, community collaboration and its Young Ambassador programme; praises the purpose-built ASN school in Kirkintilloch, planned and designed to meet the social, emotional, learning and medical needs of pupils aged two to 18, for making it a key priority to build as many strong partnerships as possible with the local community, with a strong focus on sports clubs, coaches and governing bodies; celebrates the ethos of the annual Scottish Sports Awards for recognising sport at all levels, from grassroots in the local community to high performance achievements on the national and international stages, and applauds all who were nominated as well as the 12 winners across Scotland who triumphed.
