Congratulating Douglas Academy on Being Named Scotland’s Best State Secondary

That the Parliament congratulates Douglas Academy in Milngavie, East Dunbartonshire, on being named Scottish State Secondary School of the Year 2026 by The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide; applauds what it sees as the school’s unwavering commitment to excellence in education and its nurturing of talent across academics, music, and the arts; commends the dedication of the headteacher, staff and pupils whose collective efforts have placed Douglas Academy at the pinnacle of Scottish education; recognises the school’s renowned Music School, which continues to inspire young musicians while supporting their wider learning, and wishes the pupils at Douglas Academy continued success.
