Honouring Lachie Stewart at the Renaming of Posties Park, Dumbarton

That the Parliament celebrates the renaming of the running track at Posties Park, Dumbarton, as the Lachie Stewart Memorial Park; notes that this tribute honours Lachie Stewart’s outstanding achievements in athletics, including winning Gold for Scotland in the 10,000 metres at the 1970 Commonwealth Games and representing Great Britain at the 1972 Munich Olympics; acknowledges his lifelong dedication to the sport and advocacy for athletics, and recognises this memorial as an inspiration for future generations of Scottish athletes.
