That the Parliament congratulates the chairman of the Kirkcaldy Ingolstadt Association, Robert Main, on being presented with a German-British Friendship Award at a ceremony hosted by the German Consulate in Edinburgh; acknowledges that the award was conferred by Susanne Baumann, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the UK, in recognition of Robert’s exceptional commitment to strengthening understanding and friendship between Scotland and Germany; notes his long-standing dedication to fostering relations between the Lang Toun and its twin town, Ingolstadt, through a wide range of cultural, educational and economic exchanges; recognises in particular his work in enabling young people from Germany to come to Kirkcaldy to gain valuable experience across local institutions, and commends Robert for his outstanding servce, which, it believes, has enhanced intercultural links and contributed positively to international friendship and cooperation.
