That the Parliament congratulates Edinburgh Diwali on being awarded £8,000 by the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the money was used to support its recent annual festival; recognises that this year’s festival was another triumph, involving 150 performers and a full day of events culminating in a spectacular firework display over Princes Street Gardens; celebrates the Festival for bringing Edinburgh into an international network of public Diwali celebrations, stretching from Bali to Barbados; commends the Festival on its 10th anniversary this year, and wishes it the very best in its preparations for next year’s festival.
