Stitch and Yarn Named High Street Hero for West Scotland

That the Parliament commends Kirkintilloch-based Stitch and Yarn on becoming the High Street Hero for West Scotland at the 2025 Scotland Loves Local Awards; commends the team, Lianne Garven, Shirley Ann Duncan and Lucy Jackson, on their service to the community through their knowledgeable care and the creative activities and workshops at Stitch and Yarn; celebrates its uplifting ethos, "Inspire, Create, Mingle"; understands that the annual Scotland Loves Local Awards are co-ordinated by Scotland's Towns Partnership with support from the Scottish Government to celebrate the very best of independent businesses; notes that the Minister for Public Finance, Ivan McKee MSP, congratulated all of the finalists and winners for their outstanding efforts at a Scottish Parliament reception, and sends its every best wishes to the team at Stitch and Yarn for continued growth, impact and success in the constituency of Strathkelvin and Bearsden and beyond.
