Stirling Engineering Star Wins ECITB New Entrant Award

That the Parliament congratulates Annalise Clark, a young trainee maintenance operative (TMO) from Stirling, who has won the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) New Entrant Award at the 13th annual Engineering Construction Industry (ECI) Training and Development Awards; understands that ECITB is the employer-led skills body for the engineering construction industry in Great Britain; believes that the ceremony took place in London at Glaziers Hall and was hosted by Dr Dame Maggie Aderin-Pocock; acknowledges that Annalise, who works at Altrad’s Grangemouth site, was recognised for her achievements through the ECITB-led new entrant programme; notes that the awards celebrate excellence in training and development across the engineering construction sector; considers that Annalise completed the ECITB’s (TMO) Work Ready Programme at Forth Valley College before securing her current role at Altrad; acknowledges that the award submission described her as excelling in welding, pipe bending and threading, while also highlighting her teamwork, leadership, resilience and personal growth throughout the programme; further acknowledges the vital role that colleges such as Forth Valley College in the Mid Scotland and Fife region play in preparing Scotland’s workforce by providing foundational skills, offering technical and vocational training, and fostering partnerships with employers to address skills shortages, and commends Annalise and all the winners and finalists for excelling in their fields and setting standards to which we can all aspire.
