Celebrating Dumfries and Galloway’s Inaugural Disability Sport Awards 2025

That the Parliament congratulates all those involved in organising and delivering the inaugural Dumfries and Galloway Disability Sport Awards, which took place on 9 November 2025 at The Bridge in Dumfries; notes that the event was a celebration of 15 years of Disability Sport in Dumfries and Galloway; recognises that the ceremony provided a valuable opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge the dedication, talent and achievements of individuals across the region who contribute to disability sport; pays particular tribute to Laura Vickers, Sandra Proudfoot and their team for their outstanding efforts in organising and delivering such a memorable event; commends all the athletes, coaches, family, friends and volunteers for promoting inclusion, participation and excellence in sport; applauds the awards' recipients and nominees for their remarkable contributions to disability sport and for inspiring others across Dumfries and Galloway; wishes everyone well in continuing this success, and looks forward to future awards and celebrations.
