That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow Girls Club on being named Arts Champion in the North West heat of the 2025 Glasgow Community Champion Awards; acknowledges the organisation’s founding in 2014, with a mission to open doors to opportunities and pathways for girls and young women across Glasgow facing adversity; notes that Glasgow Girls Club not only provides creative workshops and employability pathways but also co-designs initiatives with young women, alongside civic partners, and operates a social enterprise digital agency, Tech for Good, reinvesting profits into community work; recognises the organisation’s recent expansion in launching a performing arts group at Kelvin College, Easterhouse, for 16- to 25-year-olds, offering theatre, music and performance training at no cost; understands that the club’s work helps to build confidence, connection and creativity, and acknowledges its collaborative work with partners in the justice system and digital inclusion.
