That the Parliament congratulates the Glenkens Community Cardiac Responders Group in Galloway, which is located in the South Scotland region; recognises the dedication of the 10-strong volunteer team members, who will provide early intervention in cardiac emergencies across the Glenkens area, aiming to reach people in the critical first few minutes ahead of ambulance crews arriving; acknowledges the collaborative efforts of the Scottish Ambulance Service, Dumfries and Galloway Council, NHS Dumfries and Galloway, the Loch Ken Trust and Save a Life for Scotland in supporting this initiative through the CareZones strategy; believes that community cardiac responder groups have proven highly effective in improving survival rates for out-of-hospital cardiac arrests; commends the volunteers for their commitment to building resilience in rural communities, and wishes them well in their aim to have a lasting impact for the future in the Glenkens community.
