That the Parliament congratulates Georgie Hyslop, who is from from Ardrossan, on being named the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year at the Pride of Britain Awards on 20 October 2025; considers that Georgie has shown exceptional courage and generosity by raising over £50,000 for charities supporting children and young people with cancer, including the Schiehallion Ward at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow and the Teenage Cancer Trust; acknowledges that Georgie has continued her fundraising efforts while undergoing treatment for Ewing sarcoma, a rare form of cancer, and has also donated tissue to Cancer Research to support future studies; notes that Georgie was informed of her award in person by actor Margot Robbie during a surprise meeting in London, which formed part of a memorable and emotional experience for her and her family that also included attending a film premiere, appearing on national television and meeting the Prime Minister; believes that Georgie’s humility, resilience and commitment to helping others are an inspiration to many, and welcomes the support she has received from the Pride of Britain Awards, including a donation towards her upcoming fundraising ball.
