That the Parliament congratulates Corstorphine Community Centre (CCC) on the launch of its new lottery-funded initiative, Minding the Gaps, which aims to support members of the community who face barriers to accessing services due to their residential location in Corstorphine; notes that CCC will host a calendar of events to raise awareness and provide support to individuals affected by poverty, discrimination and disadvantage; recognises the centre’s ongoing commitment to the community, with 26 groups supported weekly and over 260 attendees who benefit from the dedication of 61 regular volunteers; welcomes the expansion of CCC’s services to include targeted support for unpaid carers, individuals living with or affected by dementia, young families, newly housed residents lacking social connections, minority ethnic communities and those with long-term health conditions, and commends CCC’s continued efforts to raise funds to improve accessibility and refurbish its premises to better serve the needs of all residents.
