That the Parliament congratulates Arrochar Community Hydro Scheme on winning the Working with Communities Award at Scottish Land and Estates’ Helping It Happen Awards; understands that the project marks the first large post-war hydroelectric scheme in the area, bringing about benefits for the community now and in the future to reinvest in their communities; further understands that the Arrochar & Tarbet Development Trust and Luss & Arden Development Trust receive an annual dividend from the hydro scheme’s profits, which they reinvest in their respective communities, paving the way for the Community Village Hall in Arrochar to establish a social, cultural, recreational and educational hub for local residents, whilst Luss has been able to use the funds to purchase the defunct Visitor Centre for the community to convert into an income-generating asset and community hub; acknowledges the significant efforts of Luss Estates, Local Energy Scotland and CARES development officers to raise the necessary capital to realise the project, with, it understands, Luss Estates gifting the required land in order to facilitate the project's conception, and notes that the celebration of rural success at the 2025 Helping it Happen Awards also saw Luss Estates make the finals of the Tourism and Visitor Management Award.
