That the Parliament recognises what it sees as the outstanding contribution of Ms Alison Culpan FRSE to Scotland’s life sciences sector; notes her more than 40-year career in the pharmaceutical industry, which includes being the first female leader in Scotland for ICI and then GSK; acknowledges her service since 2016 as Scotland director of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, where she has championed innovation, job creation and the development of new medicines and health technologies; welcomes that, in 2024, she was awarded the Scottish Life Sciences Lifetime Achievement Award; recognises her wider public service through the courts of Glasgow Caledonian University and the University of Strathclyde, as well as her philanthropy through Glasgow Trades House, and wishes her every success for the future.
