Burntisland Hedgehog Haven Celebrated at BBC Make a Difference Awards

That the Parliament congratulates Burntisland Hedgehog Haven on receiving a Highly Commended award at the BBC Make a Difference Awards 2025, which recognise unsung heroes across the UK who make life better for others; notes that the awards shine a light on people and organisations going above and beyond to support their communities, protect local environments and improve lives; understands that Burntisland Hedgehog Haven was recognised for its tireless efforts in rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing injured and orphaned hedgehogs; commends the organisation’s dedicated team of volunteers, whose passion and care have helped hundreds of hedgehogs return safely to the wild, and who also work to raise public awareness about hedgehog conservation and wildlife protection; recognises its work with schools and residents to promote wildlife-friendly practices and safe environments for hedgehogs, and wishes Burntisland Hedgehog Haven continued success on what it sees as its vital mission to protect one of Scotland’s best-loved mammals.
