That the Parliament congratulates Liza Quin on winning the Volunteer category at the BBC Make a Difference Awards; recognises that these awards celebrate the unsung heroes who make life better for others in their communities, with nominations submitted by members of the public and winners selected for their outstanding contributions across categories, also including Fundraiser and Community Group; commends Liza on what it sees as her tireless dedication, through her work with Autism Rocks, which is a charity based in Fife that provides support, understanding and inclusive opportunities for autistic people and their families; considers that, under Liza’s leadership, the charity has become a vital community resource offering safe spaces, social events and tailored activities for young people and adults on the autism spectrum; believes that Liza’s efforts have not only provided crucial support for people directly affected by autism but have also helped raise awareness, reduce stigma and promote neurodiversity throughout Fife, and wishes Liza, her team and Autism Rocks continued success in the future.
