That the Parliament praises Elgin and District Pipe Band for its excellent performances at the World Pipe Band Championships held at Glasgow Green and on being named champions in the Grade 3B competition; notes that this completed an impressive double for Elgin and District Pipe Band, which was declared European Champions in Grade 3B earlier in August 2025; commends everyone involved with the Pipe Band for these impressive results, particularly as the band only moved from Grade 4A in May 2025 and now, three months later, it is the European and World Champion of its new grade; recognises the hard work of Pipe Major Scott Oliphant and all the tutors for the practice they have carried out with members of the Pipe Band leading up to these important competitions and the skill and commitment of everyone in Elgin and District Pipe Band, and wishes them all continued success for the future.
