That the Parliament acknowledges the significance of the Scottish Championship as a premier golf event that celebrates Scotland’s rich sporting heritage; recognises what it sees as the outstanding quality and international reputation of Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire as a world-class venue capable of hosting such an event; welcomes the potential economic benefits, including increased tourism and business opportunities, that such a prestigious tournament could bring to the region, and calls on the Scottish Government to support efforts to promote Scotland as a leading destination for professional golf tournaments.
