Irvine Sharks Basketball Club Wins Strathclyde League Basketball Association Second Division

That the Parliament congratulates Irvine Sharks Basketball Club on securing the Strathclyde League Basketball Association (SLBA) Second Division title by winning all 14 matches, and completing a perfect season for the second consecutive year; notes the club’s dominant performance in its final match on 4 April 2025 against Paisley, winning 93-55 at Greenwood Academy; acknowledges the leadership of player-coach, Graham Hunter, and the contribution of top scorers, Donald Sampley and Nano Kalonji; praises the entire squad for a successful and inclusive team effort; recognises the role of the community in supporting the club, which assisted by providing £3,300 in funding to help improve local sports facilities, and celebrates the Sharks’ ongoing impact in promoting youth development, physical wellbeing and the sport of basketball in North Ayrshire.
