Rajas Pollokshields Wins Best Takeaway in Scotland Award

That the Parliament congratulates Raja's Pollokshields in Glasgow as the winner of Scotland's Best Takeaway; notes that the award was won at the annual Scottish Asian Business Awards, which were held at the Marriot hotel in Glasgow on 19 December 2023; understands that the owner, Waleed Nizam, bought the business 12 years ago and employs over 20 local staff, serving over 1,000 free meals to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic; further understands that it regularly supports charitable and community events through sponsorships and that the business is well known within the city for its community spirit, and wishes the management and team every success for the future.
