Rockore Festival 2023

That the Parliament recognises the success of the Rockore Festival, which was held on 19 August 2023 at Lochore Meadows Country Park; understands that the organisers, the local Benarty Events Group, created a line-up that surpassed the popularity of previous years, including securing The Boomtown Rats with Sir Bob Geldof; further understands that the festival is regarded as one of the best, small festivals across Scotland and the UK; recognises that the event was attended by over 4,000 people, including both locals and visitors; believes that this event has contributed enormously to community pride and wellbeing, as well as the local and Fife economy; commends the Benarty Events Group that organises this event and many others within the Benarty area who are all volunteers; thanks them for giving up their time to organise such an entertaining day for many, and wishes them all the very best for the future.
