That the Parliament congratulates Burntisland and District Pipe Band on winning in multiple categories at the 2023 Scottish Pipe Band Championships; understands that the 2023 Scottish Pipe Band Championships were held at Levengrove Park, Dumbarton, in which more than 100 bands from across Scotland, and the world, gathered to compete, with the furthest travelling band coming from Sydney, Australia; notes that Burntisland and District Pipe Band came first in the Junior Drum Major category, which was won by DM Catherine Spears, first in Novice Juvenile B Drumming, sixth for Novice Juvenile B Band, and first for Grade 4A Band; thanks Burntisland and all other bands for their participation in celebrating Scottish culture, and wishes everyone involved all the best for the future.
