That the Parliament celebrates the ongoing link between the twin towns, Kirkcaldy and Ingolstadt; welcomes the current contingent of exchange students from the Bavarian town, which includes Karina Meier, Nele Poeppel, Mihaela Josipovic, Jana Nißl, Yannick Maertl and Michael Mayer, as well as the groups teachers, Teresa Frey and Teresa Reitzer; recognises that exchanges of students and young people between the two towns have been taking place for the last 60 years, with the young people taking up internships within national government, local government, charities and local businesses; commends the strong relationship that Kirkcaldy and Ingolstadt enjoy after becoming twin towns in 1962; praises the Kirkcaldy Ingolstadt Association and its counterpart in Germany for maintaining this special programme, which enriches both Kirkcaldy and Ingolstadt by sharing one another’s culture and way of life, and wishes the students and their teachers all the best for the remainder of their visit and any future endeavours that they undertake.
