As an amendment to motion S6M-09339 in the name of Liam Kerr (A Thriving Future for Scotland’s Oil and Gas Sector and its Workers), leave out from "condemns" to end and insert "acknowledges that there is a climate emergency and that Scotland must achieve net zero by 2045, but believes that it is imperative that the phasing down of the traditional oil and gas sector in order to meet those targets is done hand in hand with the expansion of renewables and the creation of green jobs, thus ensuring communities are not left behind, and believes that, in order to achieve a successful Just Transition, both of Scotland’s governments must work together, and with the oil and gas sector, so that change can be managed properly."
