Rachael Nixon Wins Award for Wedding Accessories Provider of the Year at Scottish Wedding Awards

  • Submitted by: David Torrance, Kirkcaldy, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 13 March 2023
  • Motion reference: S6M-08190

That the Parliament congratulates the Kirkcaldy businesswoman, Rachael Nixon, on winning the award for Wedding Accessories Provider of the Year at the Scottish Wedding Awards 2023; understands that the awards celebrate excellence in the wedding industry and the professionals and businesses that go above and beyond to ensure that their brides and grooms have the perfect day; notes that a number of businesses from around Fife made it through to the finals, but that Rachael’s business, Chanix Millinery, was the only one to bring home an award from the ceremony; understands that Rachael turned her hobby of creating hats and headpieces into her business, which she currently runs from the John Smith Business Centre in Kirkcaldy, having originally started running her business part time while working as a nurse, and wishes Rachael and Chanix Millinery all the best for the future.
