That the Parliament congratulates Unalome, one of only two Glasgow city restaurants to have a Michelin star, alongside Cail Bruich, on becoming a finalist in the Restaurant of the Year category at the upcoming Scottish Excellence Awards; notes that the Finnieston eatery is the first solo venture by award-winning chef, Graeme Cheevers, which opened in June 2021 before being officially presented with a star in July 2022; understands that Michelin praised the European and Japanese-influenced cuisine for its boldness and sophistication in cooking; acknowledges that the event will be held on 16 March 2023 and is described as "recognising and rewarding the highest standards in hospitality, foodservice and tourism", and recognises that the awards highlight the hard work and commitment of individuals and businesses of all sizes who are helping to raise standards throughout the sector.
