Celebrating Funding Success in Strathkelvin and Bearsden Constituency

That the Parliament congratulates three organisations based in the Strathkelvin and Bearsden constituency on securing support through the National Lottery Community Fund in the most recent round of awards; understands that a total of £92,654 was received following successful applications from the three local groups; commends Deafblind Scotland, based at Lenzie, for its outstanding work to improve the lives of people throughout Scotland who are dual sensory impaired; understands that the grant aid they received will go towards their Touching Lives project, where deafblind volunteer trainers deliver deafblind awareness-raising sessions to community organisations; celebrates the creative talents and ambitions of Antonine Theatre Group, at Bishopbriggs, which can now alter its kitchen facilities to include a community café; applauds the work of Twechar Allotment Gardens Association, which can now set up a community plot with themed garden areas, and a meeting and gathering space for regular events, and sends its very best wishes and thanks to all who give their time, energy and experience in supporting these groups, which enhance the lives of constituents in Strathkelvin and Bearsden and beyond.
