Inverurie's Jason Banks Competes in the Final of the World Indoor Bowls Championship

That the Parliament congratulates Jason Banks for making it to the final of the World Indoor Bowls Championship, which took place on 22 January 2023; celebrates what it sees as Jason's excellent performance, from which he recorded his best result to date; notes that there were two preliminary round ties in the open singles, one of which Jason won before going on to reach the final; understands that this was first time that the open/men's singles final featured two unseeded players since seeds were introduced in 1988; congratulates Jason on his success as a bowler, noting that in 2019 he won the junior singles title at the IIBC Championships, and in 2017 he won three medals at the European Bowls Championships; further congratulates Jason for his outstanding performance at the World Indoor Bowls Championship this year, and wishes him continued success going forward.
