That the Parliament congratulates Ellon and District Men’s Shed on being awarded £5,000 through the Just Transition Participatory Budgeting Fund; understands that the funding will help expand the Shed's indoor storage and work space for refurbishing and recycling work; further understands that the group wishes to expand into refurbishing mobility scooters, which it hopes will reduce car use; notes the group’s efforts to reduce issues associated with boredom, isolation, loneliness and inactivity in the adult male population by enabling what it sees as engaging and rewarding activity for men to keep active by providing valued service to the community; applauds the group on the work it does, and wishes it well.
