Becky Deveney Pens Her First Book

That the Parliament congratulates 20-year-old Becky Deveney, from Inverkip, on penning her first book in a bid to help keep kids safe on the roads; notes that the book, titled Lizzy the Lollibug, is about a ladybird school patroller and aims to engage children in the topic of road safety; recognises that Becky came up with the character of Lizzy the Lollibug 18 months ago and was inspired to put pen to paper by her papa who is a member of Greenock Writers’ Club; appreciates that Becky’s school friend Haillie McCafferty drew the illustrations for the book; understands that the book is printed by Inverclyde-based Love and Humphries Printing Company, and wishes Becky all the best for the future.
