That the Parliament recognises the inspiring work of the yearly YMCA Kirkcaldy active kids summer programme; understands that the long-established project provides access to activities during school holidays for at-risk and vulnerable children across the local area; acknowledges such activities include cooking and baking, arts and crafts, sports, DJ workshops and other recreational activities such as pool, gaming and listening to music which many kids may not have access to otherwise; understands that all activities arranged in and outwith the YMCA aim to be both fun and educational to offer children a new experience and opportunity to learn in a safe and secure environment; congratulates the YMCA Kirkcaldy for providing a programme in which vulnerable and underprivileged kids can gain confidence and skills which, it believes, will benefit them for years to come as they transition to adulthood, and wishes all associated with the YMCA Kirkcaldy the very best for the remainder of their active kids programme this summer.
