Elvis Tribute Night Raises Nearly £2,500 for Scottish Autism School in Alloa

  • Submitted by: Alexander Stewart, Mid Scotland and Fife, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 30 June 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-05205

That the Parliament believes that a tribute night by Clackmannanshire’s famous Elvis impersonator has raised nearly £2,500 for a specialist Alloa school; understands that local celebrity Johnny Lee Memphis, headlined the event at Stirling Rugby Club, which raised £2,463 for Scottish Autism's New Struan School; acknowledges that the event was organised by teachers from the school and that the funds will go towards a multi-medium space for pupils, allowing them to learn a variety of life skills, and commends Johnny Lee, the New Struan School’s teachers and pupils, as well as Scottish Autism for all their sterling work in this regard.
