Programme to Support Next Generation of Wildlife Champions Shortlisted for Charity Award

That the Parliament commends Scottish Badgers on the organisation’s Earn Your Stripes partnership with the Scottish Wildlife Trust being shortlisted as a finalist in the Pioneering Project category in the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) 2022 Scottish Charity Awards; understands that the Pioneering Project award commemorates services, projects and partnerships that are making big differences to communities; notes that SCVO, the national membership organisation for the voluntary sector, aims to support, promote and develop a confident, sustainable voluntary sector in Scotland; recognises that Scottish Badgers is an independent Scottish charity that promotes the study, conservation and protection of badgers, their setts and natural habitat in Scotland; understands that the Earn Your Stripes partnership is a unique skills development programme to support the next generation of wildlife champions; believes that the contribution by Scottish Badgers is invaluable to the conservation and protection of badgers across Scotland, and congratulates the team at Scottish Badgers on their achievement in being shortlisted.
