Sir Alex Ferguson Honoured with Statue at Aberdeen Football Club

That the Parliament recognises the official unveiling of the Sir Alex Ferguson statue, outside Pittodrie Stadium in Aberdeen, on 25 February 2022; notes that the statue was unveiled by Sir Alex Ferguson, who was the manager of Aberdeen FC from 1978 to 1986; celebrates what it sees as the footballing achievements of Sir Alex Ferguson, and notes that, under Sir Alex Ferguson’s leadership, Aberdeen FC won the Scottish Premier League on three occasions, won the European Cup Winners’ Cup, beating Real Madrid 2-1 in the final, and became the first Scottish club to win the UEFA Super Cup in 1983.
