That the Parliament congratulates Scottish Ballet for ending its partnership with the fossil fuel company BP; supports the joint statement from Scottish Ballet and the National Portrait Gallery that announced the end of the partnership with BP; commends Scottish Ballet for taking this action to further progress the company’s green action plan to be carbon neutral by 2030; understands that Scottish Ballet joins other arts and cultural institutions such as the Royal Shakespeare Company and Tate in distancing themselves from the global oil and gas company; commends campaigners, including BP or not BP? Scotland, for what it sees as calling out corporate greenwashing and for encouraging stakeholders to join the global campaign against fossil fuel sponsorship, and calls on all arts and cultural institutions in Scotland to follow suit by severing links to fossil fuel companies.
