  • Motion reference: S6M-02298

That the Parliament welcomes what it sees as the global success for Glasgow in hosting COP26; thanks all the staff at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) for their tireless hard work to make the event such a global focus; praises the teams from across the SEC, including catering, audio visual and security, for their collaborative and dedicated work with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the UK Presidency; understands that there has been a large volume of messages from other conference venues and SEC customers from around the world praising the venue for its iconic setting; supports the work that the SEC is doing to expand its premises to become one of the greenest and most innovative campuses in the world, and calls on the Scottish Government to support the expansion plans as a fitting legacy to COP26.
