To ask the Scottish Government how much of the £108.729 million allocated to Digital Health Care in its 2022-23 budget, which was announced on 9 December 2021, has been (a) allocated and (b) spent to date, broken down by expenditure.

The original published budget for Digital Health and Care was £112.9 million, not £108.729 million. See https://www.gov.scot/publications/scottish-budget-2022-23/pages/5/ . Since the budget was published in December 2021 there has been a Scottish Government wide Emergency Budget Review and the agreed corporate savings from this exercise have resulted in a budget of £99.6 million being allocated to Digital Health and Care in 2022-23.

This budget provides funding for the delivery of ‘ Care in the Digital Age’ , with individual activities as set out in the accompanying Delivery Plan . Funds that are allocated are based on need, and final confirmation of spend will be included as part of the Scottish Government provisional outturn.

To ask the Scottish Government how many working groups have been established by (a) the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care and (b) supporting ministers, in each of the last five financial years, broken down by the (i) total costs incurred in running these bodies, including expenses and (ii) number that have (A) formally completed their work and ceased to exist and (B) not met in the last six months but still exist.

To ask the Scottish Government how much of the £574 million allocated to the NHS Territorial and National Boards Capital Investment in its 2022-23 budget, which was announced on 9 December 2021, has been (a) allocated and (b) spent to date, broken down by expenditure.

The capital budget of £574 million will be allocated in full to NHS Territorial and National Boards and it is expected that the budget by the year end will be fully invested and spent. This will cover basic maintenance, replacement of essential medical equipment, developing the National Treatment Centre Programme, delivering the Baird and ANCHOR centre in Aberdeen, the Parkhead Health and Social Care Centre in the East End of Glasgow and numerous other vital capital projects.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to S6W-12102 by Kevin Stewart on 16 November 2022, how much in surplus COVID-19 reserves it has recouped from Integration Joint Boards to date.

With reference to S6W-12070 on 16 November 2022, we continue to work with IJBs to understand their financial forecasts. Therefore, no COVID-19 reserves have been recouped to date.

Further detail will be communicated later in the financial year at an IJB level and the process and timetable will follow through further communications.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S6W-08565 by Humza Yousaf on 1 June 2022, which states that 124 affected families had been contacted directly by NHS Lothian and offered a retest by that point, how many (a) families had been contacted directly by NHS Lothian and offered a retest of their child, (b) affected children had had a retest of their hearing or other appropriate audiological intervention, (c) affected children had an appointment but had not been seen and (d) affected children had been found to have a previously unidentified or misidentified hearing impairment as a result of having had a retest of their hearing, by 1 November 2022.

To ask the Scottish Government how many children it estimates have been negatively impacted by the failings identified by the British Academy of Audiology review of paediatric audiology care at NHS Lothian from (a) those patients whose records were sampled by reviews carried out by the British Academy of Audiology or other independent bodies and (b) all patients seen by paediatric audiology services at NHS Lothian between 2009 and 2021.
