Decision on Taking Business in Private
Welcome, everybody, to the first meeting in 2009 of the Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee. I ask everyone to turn off their mobile phones, if they have not already done so.
The first item of business is consideration of whether to take agenda items 3 and 4 in private. Item 3 is initial consideration of written evidence on the Scottish Parliamentary Pensions Bill, and item 4 is consideration of a draft response to a letter from the Review of SPCB Supported Bodies Committee. Our discussion of those two issues today will be our initial consideration, which might not reflect our final views.
